Getting Around Denton

The Conference will be held at two locations. On Thursday, we will be at the Denton Square, and on Friday and Saturday, we will be at the UNT University Union.

Denton Square

Denton’s square is the epitome of a Texas square, with a courthouse on the interior. On Thursday, we will be hosting workshops, awards, and the administrator’s workshop in the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum. That evening we will walk across the street to the Chestnut Tree Bistro for a relaxing welcoming reception.

Parking on the Square

The closest parking to the square is free but limited to 2 hours. But go a little bit farther out, and there is ample unlimited free parking.

Distance from Hotel

The square is about 3 miles from the hotel. This is about a 10 minute drive ($6 Lyft).

UNT University Union

UNT’s University Union is a newly renovated building that serves as a hub for student interaction and services.

Parking at the University

Visitors may pay $5 a day to park in appropriate visitors lots. Parking must be purchased online in advance and the card must be printed out and left on the dashboard. If parking isn’t purchased in advance, then parking is $2 an hour at the Highland Street Garage.
